I’m on KING 5’s New Day Northwest on Thursday, November 5. The show airs in the 11 a.m. hour on NBC KING 5, king5.com and KING5+. The segment is pre-taped that morning in Seattle in a single take, with no editing, and posts at king5.com/NewDay that afternoon.

We’ll talk about the book: 172 pages of panoramic film photographs from 30+ years across Washington State. Every frame was shot on Fuji Velvia 50, a slide film, with a Hasselblad X-Pan II or a Noblex 135U, a panoramic camera with a rotating lens. Some images took hours of waiting. Others took years of return trips. The pictures come from the Palouse, the Columbia Plateau, the Okanogan, the Blue Mountains, the coast and the Cascades.

Randy Lewis, a Colville elder and storyteller, wrote the foreword. Washington Wide is $59.99 at washingtonwide.com, with free shipping in the contiguous US. It is also at Elliott Bay Book Company and Third Place Books.

Randy and I appear together at Third Place Books Lake Forest Park on Thursday, November 19, at 7 p.m.
