Fable Books + Blooms in downtown Wenatchee is carrying Washington Wide. Co-owner Renee Olson agreed to stock it on October 21, and the books were delivered by hand on October 30.
Morgan Mott opened the store in February 2025 as a gathering place for the Wenatchee community. On October 1, Rachel Findlee and Renee Olson took over as owners. They are widening the book selection and adding bookish goods: literary apparel and totes, hand-poured candles and local loose-leaf teas.
Wenatchee sits in Chelan County, at the confluence of the Wenatchee and Columbia rivers. It is the hub for north central Washington, and a good number of the photographs in the book were made within a day’s drive of it.
Washington Wide is a 172-page hardcover of panoramic film photographs from 30+ years across Washington State, shot on Fuji Velvia 50. Randy Lewis, a Colville elder and storyteller, wrote the foreword. It is $59.99 at washingtonwide.com, with free shipping in the contiguous US.
